BACK TO ROOTS
This album showcases a man whose upbringing was steeped in rock music, yet his roots were never forgotten.
Commissioned by Ghana Film Industry Corporation, Ghana and Reinery Films, Germany, I wrote and composed music for the film Nana Akoto. For the exception of one song, the Director requested that only authentic African traditional musical instruments were used, giving me the opportunity to return to my roots and create music based on all the instruments I grew up with -- flute, drums, cowbell, shakers.

My eternal thanks to the musicians of KYIREM CULTURAL TROUPE, formed by CHARLES AMANKWA-AMPOFO, for their immense help in bringing this album together.
